How to drill porcelain tile with 3/16" and 1/4" Ruswest Hole Saw

Necessary tools: Ruswest hole saw and cordless drill with a ½” chuck.

1. MAKE  A TEMPLATE FROM A SMALL PIECE OF ¼” THICKNESS PLYWOOD.  THE TEMPLATE WILL ENSURE THAT RUSWEST HOLE SAW STAYS IN PLACE AND DOES NOT “DANCE” ON THE TILE.
2. Using a template, begin drilling the tile, making initial groove.
3. Add water in the groove.
4. Continue drilling without the template.
5. About 1/3 through the tile, remove Ruswest hole saw and brake center porcelain core with a screwdriver or masonry bit.
6. Remember: if not removed, center core will not allow Ruswest hole saw to drill the tile deeper than 2-3 mm.
7. Add water in the groove as needed, so the water is always present in the groove.
8. Use one hand while drilling to avoid excessive pressure.  Let Ruswest hole saw do the drilling!

Approximate drilling time per hole:
• Ceramic tile: 30 seconds
• Porcelain tile: 2 minutes
